The professor was back in the classroom today, teaching in the morning and talking to his colleague about the International Relations Club. His final notation was about firewood. “Load of wood from college was delivered, for my fireplace,” he wrote.

Again, Professor Hamiltons says nothing about Halloween, so I doubt his poor children were among the 5,000 “merry makers” participating in the parade in downtown Reading the night before. Paid subscribers can read on about the winning costumes, which were ripped from the headlines!
