On this quiet Sunday, Professor Hamilton took Gwennie to Sunday school and went on an afternoon walk with her. In the evening he listened to the Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra on the radio and read some in a biography of Thomas Jefferson.

Still enjoying some time off in Hyde Park, President Roosevelt was honored by the fire department. Paid subscribers can read on.
