The theme of the day was music and doctor visits, as Professor Lanham took both Gwennie and his wife to music lessons, and Margaret had the pediatrician examine Mary Elizabeth’s shoulder, which was still hurting after her fall. He also had to order some books at the college library, which he followed with the notation ($50), equivalent to $1,600 today! …
