Professor Hamilton's Diary: Oct. 22, 1935
His article appears in Evangelical Crusader; newspaper begins safe driving crusade
The professor had a quiet day of classes, then took Gwennie to her music lesson in the evening. He was pleased to receive the new issue of Evangelical Crusader, which included his article “Mexico and Church Crisis.” Professor Hamilton seems to have widely diverging interests, and Mexico is an especially strong one. I wonder if he ever had visited there?
Meanwhile, the Reading Times had started a crusade against automobile deaths following the publication of an article on the sharp rise in fatal accidents and the essay “And sudden death” the previous week. Paid subscribers can read about the response of the community and suggestions from readers about what to do.
This 1934 issue of Evangelical Crusader is being offered by a dealer on eBay.
