It was a typical Thursday for Professor Hamilton, teaching classes, working at home in his study, then putting the children to bed when Margaret went to her evening ensemble class.

President Roosevelt, back in Washington after his three-week fishing cruise, gave a national broadcast that touted the improvements in the economy under his administration but urged Americans to be good neighbors to those still in need.
