At Albright College today, the faculty opened its new lounge, with “comfortable chairs, lockers, etc.” At home, Mr. Neuroth began painting again. Professor Hamilton took his daughter Gwennie to her piano lesson at Mrs. Richards’ at 6 p.m., but expressed dissatisfaction. “She is not making good progress, and I doubted the methods as well as the hour,” he wrote.

The comic strip “Terry and the Pirates” made its debut in the Reading Times. Paid subscribers can read on about this long-running newspaper feature.
