He gets unwelcome feedback from publisher and plans a trip to New York
This is what every first-time author dreads. You have worked your heart out on a book, and send it off to the publisher, only to get feedback that it needs…more work. Such was Professor Hamilton’s lot today.
“I received a parcel from Columbia U.P. at home. It proved to be a chapter of my MS with red pencil corrections. I worked on this in p.m. and drafted a reply. By evening however I had concluded that I should go to Columbia and talk it over with them.”
He’s a man of action, our Professor Hamilton!
