It’s funny to imagine Professor Hamilton as a handy-man because he’s so cerebral, but today he got down and dirty with his floors, applying a coat of vanish to the dining room, living room, and stairs. The painters were still at work and he spent much of the morning upstairs with Mary Elizabeth, who they were protecting from the worst of the fumes.
