Albright College kicked off its fall semester with a program in the chapel this morning, with a message by a local pastor and a vocal performance of the hymn “Mercy of the Lord is Everlasting” accompanied on the “pipeless electric organ.” Professor Hamilton held his first class later in the morning. “After some delay, went downtown in afternoon with Margaret. My car gave trouble in starting and I had to call garage man.” That car! He takes such good care of it and yet it keeps causing him trouble!

But not as much trouble as a trio from Miami who were conducting a seance that attracted the attention of law enforcement. Paid subscribers can read on.
