A young man called on Professor Hamilton today and drove him home at noon. “He showed me his schedule for graduate work in history at the University of Pennsylvania. Asked my opinion.” This may have been a former undergraduate student of his; he didn’t share in his diary what he thought. The professor took a nap in the afternoon and studied in the evening.

Today at the White House, President and Mrs. Roosevelt posed for their official Christmas card, which would be sent out to 400 family members and friends. To learn more about the Roosevelts’ Christmas plans, you’ll need to be a paid advisor. Click here to upgrade.

The card above, being offered on eBay, has a price tag of $6,500.
