It was a Saturday and since Lowell was off work, they spent a good deal of it shopping. Their list of purchases included a slack suit and t-shirts for Lowell, table mats, steel wool and a frying pan for their kitchen, and fish food. Looks like they got their first pet! That evening they listened to the radio while shining their shoes.
