It was Lowell’s last diary entry for awhile, and again he termed it a “swell day.” He didn’t get home until 6 p.m. but enjoyed listening to the radio and sitting on the porch with Thelma after supper. He watered his garden and was pleased that the radishes were up.

Lowell mentions a L.S.T. conference that kept him at work a little longer than usual today.
