Vangy and Thelma went to the market early on this Saturday and “really did o.k.” I am assuming they got there early enought to snag some rationed products. She spent $3.50 on “eats.” After cleaning up their apartments, they sat in Vangy’s bedroom, chatting and reading.

President Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill had dinner together at the president’s home in Hyde Park, New York that evening, prior to a summit to begin in Canada in three days. To read about it, click below to upgrade your subscription to paid.
