It was a Sunday, and with Lowell at work, Thelma spent most of the day at the movies. She saw one at the National Theatre in the afternoon — alas, I could not find a listing in the Times-Picayune — and after Lowell got off work she met him at the Orpheum to see Mr. Lucky, a comedy-drama starring Cary Grant and Laraine Day.
