Lowell apparently had another day off this Wednesday, so he and Thelma joined their friends Joe and Vangy for an outing to the amusement park at Ponchartrain Beach. “We threw darts, threw at milk bottles, played nos. etc.” she wrote. Joe won some prizes, and shared with them an ash tray and candy. “Had 7 Up and really had fun,” Thelma wrote. She apparently has a great fondness for soft drinks.
