Thelma and Lowell's Diary: Feb. 15, 1943
She buys a strainer for the kitchen; FDR meets with the British ambassador
Lowell started working the nigh shift this week, going to work at 7 p.m. and coming home at 7 a.m. After dinner she “shopped around” uptown, buying some lotion and a strainer for her kitchen. She listened to the radio and wrote letters in the evening.
At the White House, FDR had lunch with the British ambassador, Lord Halifax. To read about this gentleman, you will need to be a paid subscriber, but it costs just 16 cents a day to get the full Thelma and Lowell’s Diary experience. You can upgrade by clicking below. Thanks for reading.
