Lowell gets his back pay; Nazi pilot bombs a school in London
Hooray! Lowell’s paycheck today was a whopping $171.30, which included back overtime pay that was owed of $78.52. The check’s value in current funds is almost $2,900. Whooee!
Thelma seems to have taken the windfall calmly, spending the day washing out clothes in the sink and listening to “my radio programs.” When he came home late that evening from work, they ate doughnuts and drank coffee before going to bed. Hope it was decaf…
