Lowell apparently had the day off today, so the two of them “cleaned up the house” and listened to the radio at night while they enjoyed a snack of popcorn and cokes. Thelma always spells it with a lower-case “c”, which to me means it might have been Coca-Cola or one of its many imitators. “Lowell brushed my hair for me and about pulled it all out,” Thelma wrote.
