Thelma and Lowell's Diary: March 14, 1943
Another day of sight-seeing with Mother and Dad, illustrated with vintage postcards
It was a Sunday and Lowell apparently had the day off. They got up late, read the “funny papers,” and Thelma cooked a big Sunday dinner of “roast beef, potatoes, carrots, etc.” Enjoy that beef while you can, Thelma!
Their excursion that day took them to many places of interest. To read about it, you will need to be a paid subscriber, what I lovingly call a “Bootie.” It costs just 16 cents a day to subscribe, and you can do so by the month or by the year. Pay $50 for a full year (or renew for the year) and you will receive a signed copy of my book Gertie: The Fabulous Life of Gertrude Sanford Legendre: Heiress, Explorer, Socialite, Spy.
