Yesterday Thelma and Lowell had invested $375 in a war bond, which could be redeemed for $500 in ten years. It was their biggest war bond purchase yet. Today, Lowell slept late after working the 7 to 7 shift. They had dinner, walked over to Audubon Park to watch the seals being fed, and then saw a movie downtown.
