Thelma and Lowell went downtown today to do a little shopping. They bought “glasses, sun.”, which I took to mean sunglasses, spending $3.15. That’s quite a sum! More than $55 in current funds. Maybe two pairs? White-framed glasses were all the rage in the 1940s, as illustrated in this photo from vintages.es.
