With Lowell and Joe on the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift, Thelma and Vangy spent much of the day together. Both did their laundry, then they went to the grocery store. The weather was unpleasant, storming off and on all day. When Lowell got home, he and Thelma had a late supper of roast beef and corn bread.
