Lowell worked in the garden today before going to work. Thelma spent some time on the porch with Vangy and her husband Joe, sewed on her sewing machine, and listened to the radio while waiting for him to come home. She lists “signal cards” as a purchase today, for 18 cents. I expect she or Lowell bought a pack of these, perhaps in anticipation of his being accepted for officer training in the Navy. This set is being offered on eBay.
