As with yesterday’s entry, Thelma leaves today’s diary page blank except to list the money spent on “eats” and “rides.” The same was true of President Roosevelt’s calendar today. He was spending the holiday weekend at his mother’s home in Hyde Park, New York and there were no notations of meetings or activities.
