Thelma and Lowell's Diary: May 6, 1943

She does some shopping; leg makeup was all the rage

Lowell finished his physical for the Navy today. Thelma did some shopping with him in the morning and more after he left for work. (He had gotten paid the day before.) Her purchases included anklet socks, a brassiere, envelopes, stamps and hair combs. One of her purchases a few days before was leg makeup.
