On this Sunday there was only a brief financial entry, “Show .60,” which means Thelma and Lowell took in a movie. Most likely they went to the Saenger, where world-famous figure skater Sonja Henie’s latest film vehicle, Wintertime, was playing. The photo above is a display at a theater manager’s convention in New South Wales in 1944, where the film was being promoted. It was accessed through Wikimedia Commons.
