Lowell took up the fountain pen today and entered the list of expenses, including a book, some dominoes, and some jacks. Jacks? He wrote that they went to town at noon to see the movie Salute to the Marines, and he had left for work at 3 p.m. “Wagon picked me up at Rampart & Canal,” he wrote, apparently referring to the transportation given to workers.
