They see 'Varsity Show'; Georgia governor urges vote for 18-year-olds
Thelma and Lowell went to see the musical movie Varsity Show at the National Theatre this evening and treated themselves to ice cream on the way home. Dick Powell was the star for the film, which played on his talents as a song and dance man. After the war, Powell became known for his film noir roles, such as in 1944’s Murder, My Sweet, based on the novel by Raymond Chandler.
