They see 'Heaven Can Wait' at the Prytania; film offerings were almost endless
Lowell had this Sunday off. As they do on many leisurely afternoons, he and Thelma spent it at Audubon Park, just a few blocks from the apartment they rent, and that night they took in a movie at the Prytania, which is still operated today by the Brunel family as a single-screen theater showing classic and cult pictures.
For example, this week the Prytania Uptown’s Halloween-appropriate films were The Shining, The Exorcist, and Little Shop of Horrors. The film version of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour was also showing.
