Neither Thelma nor Lowell made a comment in the diary today, other than to list expenses. The only unusual one was $1.70 spent on boat tickets, so I assume they took a little excursion on Lake Pontchartrain. This colorful postcard, being offered on eBay, shows sailboats on the lake in front of the Southern Yacht Club, which the reverse of the card said was the second oldest yacht club in America.
