The Sunday newspaper is full of news; NOLA surpasses war bond goal
Their diary entry is limited to rides (14 cents) and eats (40 cents). I can imagine that on this Sunday Thelma and Lowell spent a leisurely few hours reading the Times-Picayune, a satisfying 98 pages of news, ads, and, of course, “funnies.”
