After the excitement of their anniversary weekend, it was back to life as usual for Thelma and Lowell. Even though it was Labor Day, he went to work shortly after noon, and Vangy came over to visit. The women talked and embroidered together, and sat on the porch for awhile. She listened to the radio in the evening while Lowell remained at work.
